So it was our day off and Jeremiah couldn’t go anywhere so I braved some adventure out and about on my own. I got on the 12:45 bus and headed to the Sheraton. Nobody ever stops or gets picked up there so I was glad to give that bus stop some use. On the ride over I talked with local nut Tony who works night security at Manago hotel, he’s a character. I got off at the Keauhou Sheraton with about five senior citizens and headed for the convention Center. It was big and nice and there were hula girls performing already. I thought there was going to be art and stuff, but the tables were mostly just promoting the performers. It was put on by the Arts of Kona society or whatever. Pretty much I sat and watched four hours of a variety of performance art for free. It was really cool, I was probably the youngest person there besides five year olds with their parents. There was classical orchestra, hillbilly bluegrass, ballet, accapela women’s group, all sorts of stuff. Then I walked to the nearest bus stop home, which took forever, and had some nachos, came home. It was a fun day but I don’t think I like doing exploring like that on my own so much.
