It was our day off today, we got up and showered, went to breakfast, caught the bus. Oh before all that, well after waking of course, I went up and used the internet a while. I got onto my online banking, which I totally forgot about, but is so nice while I’m here. I noticed that the hotel we stayed at in Hilo charged me twice for our room, if I hadn’t been up all night worried about this gut feeling I had my plane ticket might not have worked, I never would have noticed, I just knew something was funky. I’m not irresponsible about my money and spending but now I am on super alert since I got screwed over. I have to wait until Monday business hours to call their head office about it, so hopefully I will be refunded. Once in town, we walked forever in the scalding heat and sun to the business center to print out my flight confirmation (the place was closed). So then we tried to find this tattoo & piercing place because my nose stud is just not a good size. We got all turned around and sun burnt, I have a circle on my chest where my necklace was, ha ha. When we found it they didn’t really have what I wanted. We found a bus stop and waited in the sun for half and hour, but across the street was another tattoo and piercing place which did have what I wanted, so not all searching in vain. The bus back was finishing this crazy route before it was our homeward bound route and in about forty-five minutes we didn’t get any closer to Captain Cook, just a big useless circle. We wanted something nice in our day so we stopped and the Keaohou shopping center and had some Subway and caught a movie. We saw The Lovely Bones directed by the one and only Peter Jackson; pretty magical and intense. However, just like Avatar, we had to miss the last few minutes because of the bus, oh well. While waiting for the bus I called Stephanie and decided about a week after I get back I am going to go stay with her in Reno for a week or so. This is because she will be a tour bus guide in Alaska over the summer and I have to get some Stephanie time in. We also have some tentative plans to move to Portland and go to PCC together after the summer is over, so it was nice to start thinking about life after Hawaii : )
