Day 20

Happy New Year! We did not stay up until midnight, passed out at nine. But today there is a lot going on with the party at the new houses at two. Had another huge guest breakfast. Yesterday I made two platters of fruit and they hardly even touched one, so today I just made one and it was fine. Sometimes you have three people who eat a whole tray, you just never know what to make proportionally. Oh and Marianna made banana waffles, yay! So good. Then I cleaned the boathouse. It was my first time in there and I have to say if anyone comes and stays here it should be that room. Its kind of ghetto, but it’s a boat! Very cozy. Then I cleaned the glass deck windows on Marianna house. Then it was party time. So much good food. Potato salad, olive and garlic rolls, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and so much champagne. There was this little women named rosemary who never let you have and empty glass. Reiner also kept say "Chelsea! Jagermeister!, or however you spell it, which means, farm master, or something silly like that in German, i can't remember. So yeah, had some of that to drink as well : ) It was a lot of older people so we ended up hanging out with the boys and Sabina most the time. Oh while I was washing windows the music playing at reiner’s house was one of the CD’s that we always played on heavy rotation at courtyard. Kate Medulla or something? I’m not sure but I thought it funny that I always deal with air pots in the morning, and then the music, I just can’t get away from certain aspects of that job I guess. Anyway it was a happy new year. Tomorrow we’re tackling the captain cook trail on our day off, intense!
